Children’s concert with the Ampthill Concert Orchestra and Russell Lower School - 2pm start
The Ampthill Concert Orchestra would like to invite you to participate in our children's concert on Sunday, 5 November at Redborne School (in the Connolly Hall).
We aim to give children a fun and friendly experience of a live orchestral concert without parents worrying about the usual constraints of a concert performance. We would like to encourage children, by enabling them to hear a full range of musical instruments to, take up playing a musical instrument.
We would also like to show parents the end product that can be achieved by their children if the work hard. We know that one of the great benefits of music is the opportunity to perform so we are thrilled that Russell Lower School and Woodlands Middle School will be joining us to sing songs from the Jungle Book as part of the concert.
The concert starts at 2pm and lasts for 50 minutes and the orchestra will get into the spirit of the occasion with some fancy dress. The venue will be the Redborne school hall (Connolly Hall).
This is some of the music we will be have:
- a selection from the Jungle book (with choir)
- music from Jurassic Park
- selection from the Carnival of the Animals
- music from How to Train your Dragon
- The Can Can
- In the Hall of the Mountain King
