Focus on Sound
Inspiring Music have purchased a number of Focus on Sound licences to allow schools to access the full Pro edition at a subsidised rate through Arts Council England funding.
Focus on Sound is a unique multimedia encyclopedia of instruments, terminology, composers and theory – with hundreds of listening tests and a broad range of structured lessons. There is particular emphasis on GCSE set works, though there are almost endless opportunities for KS3 project work as well.
SEND / iPAD video resources
These resources have been created for teachers and TAs who were part of Inspire Music's 'iPads for SEND project' led by Ben Sellers.
However, they are freely available for use by all. The videos show you how to use the iPad apps, whilst the accompanying lesson plans show you how to use apply the apps in a classroom setting.

Head to the website now for:
- Copland - Rodeo – Hoe-Down, taking you to an American cowboy’s dance competition
- Orff – ‘O fortuna’, A medieval pondering of the future from Carmina Burana
- Sibelius – Finlandia, transporting you to the beautiful landscapes of Finland
For each piece you will find video introductions, full performances and lesson plans for use in the classroom.
