A string to your child’s bow

If your child has never taken part in a Fiddle Fiesta before then make sure they don’t miss out.

We are running five Fiddle Fiestas at the end of June and during July – and they are free to anyone taking part.

If your child is an orchestral string player and doesn’t already have a place at one of these events then speak with their instrumental tutor or call the Inspiring Music office on 0300 300 6604.

The events are on:

  • Tuesday, 27 June – All Saints Academy, Dunstable
  • Monday, 3 July – Cedars Upper School, Leighton Buzzard
  • Tuesday, 11 July – Redborne Upper School, Ampthill
  • Wednesday, 12 July – Samuel Whitbread Academy, Clifton
  • Tuesday, 18 July – Stratton Upper School, Biggleswade

All run from 3pm to 8pm apart from the third Fiddle Fiesta at Redborne Upper which starts at 3.15pm.

The Fiddle Fiestas are open to all students in Central Bedfordshire, whether taught by the Music Service or privately, as long as their teacher recommends them.

They are a great opportunity to develop their skills alongside other instrumentalists across a wide range of ages and ability levels in an atmosphere that is both challenging and fun.

One valuable aspect of the events is the contribution made by older and more experienced students who take on the role of mentors to younger students.

The Fiddle Fiestas end with a concert that is around 45 minutes long and open to family and friends.
