Saturday Music Centres

Our Saturday Music Centres are a great place to have fun making music.

• Led by musicians, our centres help young people make new friends and challenge themselves to learn something new from singing to keyboards, ukuleles to iPads

• Whether you’re a beginner or already have individual lessons and whether you’re a singer or want to play brass, wind or strings, there’s a group for you

• Learn new skills and make friends - our centres are open to everyone from 5 years of age to adults, including sessions for children with special education needs and our new Saturday clubs for reception age children

• Get into music - everything from rock and jazz to classical, musical theatre and electronic

Play together

Our group sessions are ideal for those who want to come along, have a go, and have fun playing a range of instruments. Playing with others is a much more accessible way of learning than on your own at home. Playing with others can be thrilling; coming together to make something greater than the sum of its parts.

Individual lessons

Discover the joy of music through our individual Saturday morning music lessons, available at all three centres. Our tutors offer personalised lessons for a variety of instruments. In Ampthill, explore the world of brass instruments, guitar, or strings.  Our Biggleswade centre focuses on strings with our Leighton Linslade centre providing lessons in piano, keyboard and strings. 

No experience required

The centres are great for children and parents with no musical experience and for those who are already actively playing or singing. We can give you expert advice on what is best for you and your child.

Complements other music lessons

The Centres are also great for students who already have individual lessons as it teaches them all the qualities needed to play as part of an ensemble.

Great value

We offer great quality and value for money. Our centres are run by specialists and each session is developed to the highest of standards. For our group sessions, there is minimal commitment of just four weeks, and you can switch between pathways to suit your needs. And there’s a 25% discount incentive for new members!

Our centres

We have three centres. These are in Ampthill, Biggleswade and Leighton Linslade (includes music making for those with learning difficulties and special needs).

Our sessions each term

Sessions are scheduled on 10 Saturdays each term with 4 sessions between 9:30am - 12:30pm.

Group sessions

If you are enrolling at Leighton Linslade Music Centre, adults can join sessions at the child price, thanks to a grant from Leighton Linslade Town Council.
