Orchestra Live hits the high notes

Orchestra Live hits the high notes

On 11 July approximately 1000 children were invited to the Grove Theatre in Dunstable to take part in the interactive concert performed by the City of London Sinfonia. The two performances were really engaging and the children really gave 'fixing the orchestra' their all. They were conducting to keep the percussion section in time, they cheered the sad strings up, the helped the brass to remember their melody and slowed the rushing woodwind down!

Three instrumentalists from Central Bedfordshire schools also had the fantastic opportunity to play alongside professional musicians in the orchestra and went ‘on tour’ for the three performances within Bedfordshire.

Charlotte Payne Music Director for Inspiring Music said “This was a great opportunity for the young children of Central Bedfordshire to be introduced to the instruments of the orchestra in an interactive way and engage with the different families of the orchestra."

This was an amazing opportunity and we will hopefully see more students enrolling for lessons in September!
