Music Mark membership

Music Mark believes in the fundamental right to experience a high-quality music education for all children and young people, in and out of their schools.
— Jem Shuttleworth

Music Mark is a national subject association for music education.

Through the collective strength of membership, including Inspiring Music Education hub and its school partners, they aim to develop networks and resources that help support children and young people in their social and musical development.

It is easy for schools to become members of Music Mark, just email inspiring.music@centralbedfordshire.gov.uk and we will contact Music Mark and get the school signed up. The membership is paid for by Inspiring Music.

What are the benefits?

Access to resources, including those within their ‘MarketPlace’ that has sections:

  • SEND

  • Music Technology

  • Leadership and Management

  • EYFS

  • Primary

  • Secondary

  • Instrumental

The latest research including advocacy of high quality education, CPD opportunities, and connections to other education providers including Inspiring Music.

You can add the Music Mark logo to your ‘stationary’ which also looks good!

What does the school need to do?

By joining, schools are immediately showing their support and appreciation for music education and providing evidence of the value that schools place on music. The school may, on occasion, be asked for an opinion or to provide information about music in their community but there is no commitment to doing this or having to provide any evidence.

So nothing to lose and everything to gain by requesting membership!
