Young Sounds UK Connect

We are proud to be a Young Sounds UK Connect programme Ambassador hub. As a hub, we support the musical progression of young people through a holistic programme designed to help them overcome barriers and keep learning.

We are now one of 12 Ambassador music services from across the country for the Young Sounds UK Connect programme. As part of this, we support up to 60 young musicians from lower-income households to help them access free instrumental tuition alongside other musical opportunities, such as fun musical get-togethers.

Thanks to funding from the national music organisation Young Sounds UK, we are also able to offer more support for families and young people looking for musical opportunities and information in our area, through our Local Connector, Emma Eames.

Emma is here to connect young people and their families with musical experiences in their local area, helping to find appropriate opportunities and share valuable information on how best to support young people’s musical development.

Emma is an experienced musician and music teacher who strongly believes that a high-quality music education should be accessible to all.
